With the new year comes another house
As we start the new year so I, Matthew start a new chapter. This is the Republic house. In it there will be young men who have lived out on the steet and choosen to come off. Their choice to work with ABBA and return to their families has been their main goal. These young men have to choice right now as their families are not an option and they are older. We, ABBA, are here to help them through this extra step. Republic house is a community of young men who want to strive to please God in this family setting.
Prayer
- Matthew's Visa, which needs to be renewed now that we are back in Brazil.
- 3 new boys have joined the Republic House - Renilson, Arlindo and Josimar... Please pray for their successful reentry since all three have formerly been part of ABBA. They left on their own a few years ago. Since they are over 18 they will stay until their place is needed for a younger boy.
- Matthew's Visa, which needs to be renewed now that we are back in Brazil.
- The Republic House has hopes to begin the extensive remodeling needed. Please pray we will get the needed permits soon as well as the finance to forge ahead.
- The work load is heavy. Pray that Matthew will have wisdom from above to make decisions about priorities for the ministry. Pray that he will be able to sleep well and leave it in the Lord's hands.
Praise
- For the ABBA children and the chirstmas time spent with their Families.
- For all who have prayed for us and helped us remain on the field.
- For good health that God so graciously gives us even though we live in a smog filled city with the problems of clean air and water.
- For answered prayer as we fit in to a new ministry.
- For the good year of 2007.
God is Good and Faithful and has prepared us for the days to come
and is helping us to work with the boys and girls of ABBA.
